Ceramic Industry Confident Exhibitions Will Serve as Showcases to Boost Competitiveness
The Indonesian Ceramic Industry Association (ASAKI) believes that holding exhibitions can serve as a strategic showcase to strengthen the competitiveness of domestic products, while simultaneously demonstrating the local industry’s ability to meet both domestic and global market needs.
Speaking in Tangerang, Banten, on Thursday, the General Chairman of ASAKI, Edy Suyanto, noted that one of the exhibitions organised by the domestic industry to boost competitiveness is the Megabuild, Keramika & Megaproperty 202<0xC2>6 exhibition.
“Keramika 2026 is a proud showcase for the national ceramic industry. We want to prove that the quality, design, and technology of local manufacturers are ready to compete in the global market while meeting the needs of premium projects in Indonesia,” he said.
The exhibition, scheduled to take place from 4 to 7 June 2026, is part of an integrated concept that combines the building materials, ceramics, and property sectors into a single business platform.
He further stated that the timing of this event aligns with the recovery of the property sector, which has once again become a locomotive for national economic growth. In 2026, the property sector successfully ranked among the top three contributors to national investment, with its projected contribution to GDP increasing significantly from 10 per cent to 11.5 per cent.
Deputy Minister of Industry Faisol Riza, who opened the event, assessed that the 11th Keramika Indonesia Expo, held alongside Megabuild and Megaproperty 2026, represents a vital momentum for strengthening the national industry.
“Supported by an installed capacity of 650 million square metres, as well as the strengthening of SNI (Indonesian National Standard) and TKDN (Domestic Component Level) policies, we are optimistic that this sector is ready to transform into a highly competitive green industry in the international market. Strategic collaboration in this exhibition serves as a primary innovation hub to accelerate the adoption of modern technology while driving sustainable national economic growth,” said Faisol.
He added that the cross-sector collaboration presented in the exhibition opens greater opportunities for industry players to accelerate technology adoption, expand markets, and enhance the competitiveness of national products.
President Director of Panorama Media, Royanto Handaya, stated that the Keramika Indonesia 2026 event is also supported by various associations and institutions, including ASAKI, the Indonesian Interior Designers Association (HDII), the Indonesian Architects Association (IAI), and Indonesia Design.
According to him, in addition to being a product showcase, the event features various business programmes such as business matching, seminars, architecture and interior design workshops, new product launches, and networking forums that bring together industry players from various sectors.
