The trial of Terra Drone’s CEO regarding the shop house fire case that resulted in 22 deaths in December 2025 took place at the Central Jakarta District Court today.

Spokesperson for the Central Jakarta District Court, Andi Saputra, stated that the trial of the CEO of Terra Drone, who is the defendant in the fire case, has been ongoing since 11 March 2026 with the agenda of reading the charges.

“On 11 March, the charge reading session; 1 April, witness examination; and then 15 April, also witness examination,” he said on Thursday, 2 April 2026.

Andi added that during the charge reading, the defendant, CEO of Terra Drone Michael Wishnu Wardana, was charged as stipulated and punishable under Article 474 Paragraph (3) of Law No. 1 of 2023 on the Criminal Code.

Furthermore, the defendant’s actions fulfil the provisions and are punishable under Article 188 of the Criminal Code, which regulates criminal acts due to negligence (omission) that cause fire, explosion, or flood and endanger the lives of others or public safety for property.

The perpetrator faces a maximum prison sentence of five years or one year of imprisonment.

Meanwhile, the Head of Criminal Investigation at the Central Jakarta Metro Police Resort, AKBP Roby Heri Saputra, stated that the Terra Drone shop house fire case has been at the P21 stage since January 2026 and was handed over in February this year.

“The file has been P21 since January and handed over in February,” said Roby.
