CEO of PNM Affirms Commitment to Strengthening MSMEs through Economic Empowerment
The President Director of PT Permodality Nasional Madani (PNM), Kindaris, has emphasised the company’s commitment to strengthening micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through economic empowerment, aiming to expand access to financing and community assistance.
“PNM’s future tasks will certainly be increasingly challenging, but with strong determination and sustainable synergy, we will certainly be able to provide financing and empowerment that delivers greater benefits,” said Kindaris in a statement in Jakarta on Tuesday.
This affirmation was made as part of the 27th anniversary celebrations of PNM, which coincided with the Birth of Pancasila on 1 June 2026. The commemoration began with a ceremony attended by more than 2,700 PNM employees at GOR Soemantri, Jakarta, under the theme “Pancasila as the Unifier of the Nation, the Foundation of World Peace.”
According to Kindaris, this momentum serves as a reminder for all PNM personnel to continue strengthening the company’s role in supporting community economic empowerment while upholding national values in every business activity. “The company is never detached from national values, which serve as the foundation for serving the community,” he stated.
He also called upon all PNM employees to continue upholding the noble values of Pancasila in every action, maintaining unity, and providing tangible benefits to others. “This spirit is in line with PNM’s duties and role in assisting millions of underprivileged people,” he added.
Consequently, he emphasised the importance of providing services based on social justice, ensuring equal opportunities for small groups, and ensuring that no community feels left behind in the development process. Under the hashtags #PNMuntukUMKM and #PNMPemberdayaanUMKM, Kindaris noted that this commitment is reflected in this year’s anniversary philosophy: “together in every step, accompanying in every journey.” This philosophy serves as the company’s compass in expanding access to financing and empowerment across various corners of the country.
This spirit is further strengthened following the change in the ownership of Class A Dual-Class Shares, which restores PNM’s status as a state-owned enterprise (persero), providing new energy to continue a more impactful transformation. Entering its 27th year, PNM believes that sustainability is achieved not only through economic empowerment but also through environmental care.
“Therefore, gratitude for the company’s journey is translated into real actions that can be felt by both current and future generations,” he said. As a manifestation of this commitment, PNM is acting simultaneously across 58 regions in Indonesia by planting 27,000 trees. This initiative is part of a collective effort to re-green the environment, maintain natural balance, and leave a lasting positive legacy.
“At age 27, PNM understands that every step of empowerment is an effort to cultivate hope,” he added. PNM views community empowerment as a long-term process requiring patience, sincerity, and sustainability so that benefits can be widely felt. Therefore, every financing and assistance programme implemented is not only oriented towards short-term results but also towards the sustainable strengthening of community capacity. “From strong roots, widespread benefits will grow. From small steps taken together, great changes will be born for the community, the environment, and the future of Indonesia,” he concluded.
