Century wins PATA award

JAKARTA (JP): Century International, an international hotel
chain, won the 1996 PATA Travel Mart Professionalism Award for
Outstanding Seller Organization during the Travel Mart held in
Pattaya, Thailand.

The chain said in a statement here yesterday that the
professionalism award, provided by Baxter Publishing of Canada,
is based on the efficiency and professionalism of a seller
organization.

"All the hard work and contribution of the Century sales and
marketing team into making PATA Travel one of the most successful
trade shows around has paid off with this award," Danai Wansom,
the vice president of the Hong Kong-based hotel chain.

Century International Hotels currently operates nine star-
hotels in Asian countries, including the 630-room Hotel Atlet
Century Park in Jakarta and 197-room Imperial Century Hotel and
Resort in Karawaci, west of Jakarta.

The hotel chain expects to open four more hotels in Indonesia
