Palu (ANTARA) - The Central Sulawesi Provincial Government (Pemprov Sulteng) is committed to strengthening the governance of Undata Regional General Hospital (RSUD) in efforts to provide faster, higher-quality, and more equitable healthcare services to the community. “Pemprov Sulteng is promoting improvements in healthcare services through the flagship Berani Sehat programme to ensure that the public can access services easily, quickly, and without cost barriers,” said Deputy Governor of Central Sulawesi Reny A Lamadjido in Palu on Tuesday, during the inauguration of the Director of RSUD Undata. She explained that the inauguration is part of the local government’s strategic steps to strengthen professional, accountable governance oriented towards the interests of the community. She also stated that RSUD Undata, as the main referral hospital in Central Sulawesi, plays a crucial role in providing optimal healthcare services to the public. Meanwhile, she continued, the Berani Sehat programme initiated by Pemprov Sulteng provides comprehensive healthcare services to the community, from insurance systems and treatment to preventive efforts. Pemprov Sulteng is committed to strengthening the development of a just and sustainable health system through that programme. She also emphasised the importance of adding specialist doctors at RSUD Undata in line with the increasing number of patients requiring medical services. “We need to add specialist doctors because the number of patients being served is increasing,” she said. In addition, the Deputy Governor reminded that services at the Emergency Unit (UGD) must continue to be improved so that the public can experience fast, responsive, and maximum care.
