Central Sulawesi PPP DPW Muswil Held in Palu, Ensured to Run Smoothly and in Accordance with the Constitution

Central Sulawesi – The Regional Leadership Council (DPW) of the United Development Party (PPP) in Central Sulawesi formally held its Musyawarah Wilayah (Muswil) in Palu on Friday, 6 March 2026. The Muswil was confirmed to proceed smoothly and was attended by the majority of the DPCs across Central Sulawesi.

Imam Fauzan A Uskara, the PPP’s General Treasurer (Bendahara Umum DPP PPP), stressed that rumours of the Muswil being cancelled or failing were untrue. ‘Alhamdulillah the Muswil went ahead. The claims that the Muswil was cancelled or failed are not correct. Although there was some dynamism, on 6 March 2026 the Muswil proceeded and was attended by the majority of DPC chairs in Central Sulawesi,’ he said.

He explained that the Muswil forum ran safely and smoothly and produced the formatur tasked with drafting the new leadership of the DPW PPP in Central Sulawesi. ‘We hope the formatur already established can promptly complete its work. The new leadership will then be issued SK by the DPP PPP,’ he added.

Meanwhile, Sofansyah Yunan, Chairman of the Banggai Regency DPC PPP, stated that he and other DPCs agreed to hold the Muswil for Central Sulawesi DPW on the basis of the party’s constitutional mandate contained in its AD/ART. He noted that after the Muktamar, every region is required to hold a Muswil within three months. ‘The Muswil is a constitutional mandate contained in the AD/ART. After the Muktamar, it must be held within three months. Therefore we agreed to hold the Muswil in Central Sulawesi, in Palu. This is a constitutional directive and its legality is legitimate,’ Yunan said.

Similarly, Muh Saleh, Chairman of the Toli-Toli Regency DPC PPP, emphasised that the Muswil is legally legitimate as an organisational matter and was attended by a majority of DPC PPP in Central Sulawesi. He added that after the Muswil at the regional level, the party would continue with consolidating deliberations at the cabang level as part of preparations for political agendas ahead, including the 2029 elections and parliamentary elections.
