The Central Integrated Health Post (Posyandu) Development Team is encouraging the strengthening of Posyandu transformation in the Riau Islands Province based on six Minimum Service Standards (SPM). Yane Ardian Bima Arya, Secretariat Advisor for the Central Posyandu Development Team, stated that this transformation is crucial for building the foundation towards the Indonesia Emas 2045 vision through improved human resource quality. This initiative aligns with Minister of Home Affairs Regulation Number 13 of 2024, which expands the role of Posyandu as a community institution at the village and sub-district levels. β€œThe success of development is not only determined by economic growth but also by the quality of human resources. In this context, Posyandu has a very important position,” Yane said in a written statement on Wednesday. He explained that Posyandu now supports the implementation of six SPM fields, including education, health, public works, housing, public order and security, and social affairs. Yane noted that the geographical challenges of the Riau Islands, which is dominated by archipelagic areas, require strong commitment from local governments. He expressed confidence that collaboration between regional governments, the community, and cadres would enable the Riau Islands to successfully implement the Posyandu transformation. Currently, 1,398 Posyandu in the Riau Islands have been officially registered. During the event, 238 Posyandu symbolically received their registration numbers. Nationally, 13,353 Posyandu across 83 regencies and cities in 22 provinces have been registered, marking a significant step in strengthening the national database for more targeted policy-making, monitoring, and evaluation.
