Central Papua Senator Opens MPR RI Four Pillars Quiz Competition 2026 at Provincial Level
Central Papua is a province that produces resilient, hardworking generations who uphold the spirit of togetherness, reinforced by nationalism through the implementation of the MPR RI’s Four Pillars: Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (Unity in Diversity).
This was stated by Eka Kristina Yeimo, a member of the MPR RI from the Regional Representative Council (DPD) constituency of Central Papua, during the opening of the 202rol Four Pillars MPR RI Quiz Competition at the Provincial level in Nabire. Eka emphasised that the competition is not merely a contest but a booster to foster national spirit by understanding and applying national values in daily life.
Reflecting on the natural beauty of Central Papua, Eka noted that the harmony between its mountains, valleys, and lakes serves as a metaphor for the Indonesian nation, which is united despite differences in ethnicity, religion, language, and culture through the Four Pillars. She added that as the 81st Anniversary of Indonesian Independence approaches, it is a momentum to emulate the struggle of the nation’s founders.
Eka asserted that the participants from Central Papua are the torchbearers for a better future for Indonesia. She encouraged the youth to fill independence with achievements, science, innovation, and integrity. “Believe that the future of Indonesia is not only built in big cities but is also born from the spirit of the best children of Central Papua,” she said.
Fredi M. Edowai, Head of Special Education and Community Academy at the Central Papua Provincial Education and Culture Office, expressed appreciation for the MPR RI Secretariat General’s commitment to the competition. He noted that this is the second time Central Papua has participated in the event and highlighted its importance in shaping future leaders with strong national insights.
