Central Lombok Transportation Chief Clarifies Statement on CFN Parking Levy
The Head of the Transportation Agency (Dishub) of Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Baiq Sri Damayanti Wiradharma, has clarified her statement regarding media reports of alleged leaks in parking levies during the Car Free Night (CFN) event in Praya. Previously, the statement mentioned that the event organisers were accommodating parking levies.
Sri explained that, to date, her agency has not identified who is managing the parking for the event. She stressed that Dishub is still conducting investigations to ascertain the involved parties.
“The intention is that we are currently tracing the parties involved, so that this will serve as material for the coordination meeting to discuss how we can regulate the sources of regional revenue,” said Sri, clarifying her statement to detikBali on Friday (10/4/2026).
According to her, so far, Dishub has only conducted mapping of the potential parking levies if managed optimally. She emphasised that her agency is not hastily accusing any specific party regarding the parking management.
“That’s the situation. So we are tracing and mapping this. We are not immediately saying this or that,” she asserted.
On the other hand, Sri mentioned that her agency is currently preparing a draft regent’s regulation (perbup) as a derivative of Regional Regulation No. 10 of 2016 on the authority for managing parking levies.
“Then, we have drafted the perbup to support this enforcement,” she asserted.
It is known that the Praya City CFN is a monthly event that closes the main road sections, namely Jalan Gajah Mada to Jalan Ahmad Yani, to motor vehicles. The event is held every Saturday night starting at 18.00 Wita.
The CFN features UMKM cuisine, cultural arts stages, live music, and community exhibitions as a space for public expression. This programme is also one of the flagship initiatives of the Central Lombok Regency Tourism Agency to liven up Praya City at night.
