Central Lombok Regional Councillor Reported to Police, Father and Husband Also Implicated
A member of the Central Lombok Regional House of Representatives (DPRD), Nafila Resnafani, has been reported to the police regarding allegations of fraud and embezzlement amounting to Rp 370 million. In addition to Nafila, her father, Ahmad Puaddi, and her husband, Wawan Nasabandi, have also been named in the report.
The report was filed by Miftahurrahman, a resident of Jago Village, Praya District, Central Lombok. The complainant’s wife, Yeni, stated that legal action was taken because Nafila, Puaddi, and Wawan failed to fulfil their promises.
“Today we are reporting the alleged fraud that occurred in June 2024, involving a transaction of Rp 200 million directly with Mr Puaddi,” Yeni told the media at the Central Lombok Police Headquarters on Monday (31/8/2026).
Miftahurrahman and his wife arrived at the Central Lombok Police Headquarters around 12:00 WITA. They entered the Police Report Office (SPKT) to lodge the complaint and were subsequently moved to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Central Lombok Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) to provide statements.
Yeni explained that the case began when she was offered a grant for an Innova Reborn vehicle through the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) DPRD programme by Wawan and Nafila. The funds were allegedly intended to serve as capital for Puaddi’s candidacy in the 2024 Central Lombok Regional Election.
“We were promised that Reborn unit because of a certain project, as a member of the provincial council. It was the final project; once it was released, we would be given the car. However, two years have passed, and despite our demands, we have received nothing,” added Yeni.
According as Yeni, the money was transferred to Nafila’s father in stages. The first transaction took place on 21 June 2024 for Rp 140 million. Three days later, Yeni’s husband transferred another Rp 50 million to the same account.
“The third payment was made through Nafila and Wawan for Rp 10 million, bringing the total to Rp 200 million,” she elaborated.
Shortly thereafter, Nafila and Wawan allegedly offered her the opportunity to purchase a Honda Jazz for over Rp 170 million through another individual. According to Yeni, Nafila became difficult to contact following this transaction.
“We tried to find them frequently, but they refused to meet. Our messages went unanswered. Nafila promised the vehicle’s ownership documents (BPKB) would be provided six months after the sale, but to this day, we have nothing,” she added.
Yeni expressed further disappointment upon discovering that the vehicle sold by Nafila was actually under a defaulted credit status with a finance company. She admitted she is currently afraid to use the car as she is being pursued by debt collectors.
“It turns out the BPKB for that car is held by a finance company and is in default status. We are now being hunted by debt collectors to repossess the unit. Even though I have paid for the car in full, we have not received the BPKB,” said Yeni.
She stated that legal action was pursued because Nafila, Puaddi, and Wawan have shown no good faith to resolve the matter. She also intends to report the incident to the Ethics Committee (BK) of the Central Lombok DPRD so that Nafila can face sanctions.
“We are exhausted from waiting and being given continuous promises,” she concluded.
The Head of Public Relations for the Central Lombok Police, Inspector Lalu Brata Kusnadi, confirmed the report. Brata stated that the report would be processed by the Criminal Investigation Unit.
“It is true that we received the report through the SPKT earlier today. It will subsequently be processed by the Satreskrim according to the applicable procedures,” said Brata.
It is known that Nafila Resnafani is a member of the Central Lombok DPRD representing Constituency 6, which covers the Batukliang and North Batukliang districts. Nafila’s father, Ahmad Puaddi, was also a former candidate for Regent of Central Lombok in the 2024 election. Ahmad Puaddi previously served as the Chairman of the Central Lombok DPRD for the 2014-2019 period and Chairman of Commission IV of the NTB DPRD for the 2019-2024 period. Wawan, Nafila’s husband, acted as the intermediary between Miftahurrahman and the duo.
