Central Lombok Police Chief AKBP Eko Yusmiarto Officially Transferred to Central Kalimantan
Central Lombok Police Chief AKBP Eko Yusmiarto underwent a handover ceremony with the new official, Kombes Hariyanto, on Tuesday (14/7/2026) in the Ballroom on the 5th Floor of the Central Lombok Regent’s Office. Eko’s transfer followed a hearing (RDP) at Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives with the Directorate of Women and Children Protection (PPA-PPO) of the NTB Regional Police, the Mataram City Child Protection Agency (LPA), and the Hotman 911 Team on Monday regarding the alleged burning of three Islamic students in Batukliang District.
Eko’s reassignment is based on the National Police Chief’s telegram number: ST/1336/VI/KEP/2026, dated 25 June 2026. He has been transferred to serve as the Police Chief of Lamandau, Central Kalimantan. His replacement is Kombes Hariyanto, who previously served as Deputy Commander of the NTB Regional Police Mobile Brigade (Brimob).
Kombes Hariyanto served as Bima Police Chief from January to December 2023. He was then transferred to become East Lombok Police Chief. After more than a year serving as East Lombok Police Chief, Kombes Hariyanto was entrusted with the task of Deputy Commander of the NTB Regional Police Brimob. Amidst his duties as Deputy Commander, Kombes Hariyanto also served as Acting Bima City Police Chief, replacing AKBP Catur Erwin, who had only been in office for a week during a leadership transition following the emergence of a narcotics distribution case that implicated the former Bima City Police Chief, AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro.
Meanwhile, AKBP Eko Yusmiarto himself had served as Central Lombok Police Chief since early March 2025, replacing AKBP Iwan Hidayat, who became Deputy Commander of the Bali Regional Police Brimob. Eko, a graduate of the Police Academy (Akpol) class of 2006, handled several prominent cases. One of them was a raid on a drug village in the East Praya sub-district. He was also involved in a child marriage case that went viral on social media in 2025, the closure of a gold mine in the Mandalika Special Economic Zone (KEK), the uncovering of a sexual intercourse case involving a female student at an Islamic boarding school in Semoyang Village, East Praya District, the murder of a husband by his wife in Semayan, Praya District, and an abortion and baby disposal case in Pringgarata District.
Throughout his leadership, Eko uncovered a total of 1,038 criminal acts, including theft, rape, molestation, murder, child neglect, and narcotics, with a clearance rate of 60 percent. Nevertheless, Eko leaves behind a number of pending cases, such as the investigation into alleged corruption of village funds in Bilebante, Pringgarata District, and the arrest of an Islamic boarding school leader in East Praya District who is on the wanted list (DPO) as a suspect in the alleged sexual assault of a female student. The suspect had been missing since 2024 under the pretext of going on Umrah but never returned.
“I feel proud because during my leadership I was together with the entire community and friends here. Once again, thank you to everyone,” said Eko in his farewell speech.
