A part-time PPPK health worker in Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, named Fitria Hamim, claims she experienced intimidation from her superiors after participating in protests over the meagre salary of Rp 200,000 she received. The allegation was shared via social media and went viral.

Previously, hundreds of health workers in Central Lombok staged a demonstration at the local Health Office several days ago. They protested the wages, which they deemed too low at just Rp 200,000 per month.

“Please stop intimidating us, oh honourable leaders. We all have our limits of patience,” wrote Fitria Hamim in a Facebook post quoted by detikBali on Friday (17/4/2026).

She also revealed that the health workers had chosen to remain patient despite unfulfilled promises. However, they now feel they have reached the point of exhaustion and are ready to voice their aspirations until resolved.

“Now we have reached the point of being tired of being patient and silent; now we are aware and ready to make noise until it’s settled. Best wishes for health from the PPPK Part-Time Health Workers of Central Lombok,” she continued.

In her post, Fitria attached statements from fellow professionals as evidence that the alleged intimidation was not isolated to her but affected other health workers as well.

Deputy Chairman of Commission IV of the Central Lombok DPRD, Wiarman Hamzani, expressed regret over the incident. He explained that they had heard the information and he had asked the Head of the Central Lombok Health Office to investigate the matter.

“I already emphasised earlier through the health office that if there are parties from the office or puskesmas heads intimidating the health workers’ struggle, then we await the names of those individuals,” said Hamzani to detikBali via WhatsApp.

He stressed that they would summon the relevant parties if the allegations are proven. According to him, intimidation contradicts democratic principles.

“Because every citizen has the right to express their opinion,” he asserted.

Previously, hundreds of part-time PPPK health workers in Central Lombok protested the local Health Office’s policy. They highlighted the salary of only Rp 200,000, which is lower than that of drivers and cleaning service staff at Rp 500,000.

“Our demands are clear. First, regarding the salary in the contract at Rp 200,000. For cleaning service and technical staff, the salary is Rp 500,000. Only we health workers get Rp 200,000,” said the Chair of the Central Lombok Health Workers Communication Forum, Sumarni, to the media on Wednesday (15/4/2026).

The salary amount was known at the signing of the part-time PPPK work contract on Monday (13/4). In the contract, health workers are recorded as receiving Rp 200,000, while technical staff such as drivers, admins, and cleaners receive Rp 500,000.
