Central Lombok Civil Registry Issues Identity Documents for Sade Traditional Village Residents

The Civil Registry Office (Dukcapil) of Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTlag), has opened services for the issuance of population administration documents for residents affected by the fire in the Sade Traditional Village, Rambitan Village, Pujut District.

“Our team has been deployed to provide services to re-issue burnt identity documents, such as National Identity Cards (KTP), family cards (KK), and birth certificates for those affected by the disaster,” said the Secretary of the Central Lombok Dukcapil Office, Alpian Muntahar, in Central Lombok on Wednesday.

He stated that this direct service was implemented to facilitate the affected community, prompting the department to dispatch officers to provide on-site assistance.

“Our preliminary data shows that we have restored population administration documents including 49 family cards (KK), 87 national identity cards (KTP), and 27 birth certificates,” he said.

“Our focus is solely on providing services for those who have lost or had their identity documents destroyed by fire,” he added.

For the issuance of these documents, the department ensured there are no complex requirements; as long as residents visit the service point and report their burnt documents, the department will immediately track the data within the Population Administration Information System (SIAK) available in the service system.

“Residents only need to come and provide their names. If the data is found and the person is verified via the photo in the system, we will print all their burnt identity documents, including birth certificates for their children,” said Alpian.

If a search by name fails, the department will conduct a search using biometric verification. The process is even simpler if residents can present photos of their previous documents stored on their mobile phones, in which case the documents can be printed immediately.

“We cannot yet confirm the exact number of residents who lost their identity documents during the fire. This is because we are serving those who come to the service point we have established at the head of the Sade hamlet’s house,” he said.

Previously, on Saturday night, 22 August 2026, the Sade Traditional Village was razed by fire, leaving residents unable to save any of their valuables. While no fatalities were reported, several traditional houses constructed from bamboo, wood, and thatch were completely destroyed.
