Central Lampung Regent Accused of Receiving Rp7.35 Billion in Bribes and Gratuities
The Regent of Central Lampung for the 2025-2030 period, Ardito Wijaya, has been charged with receiving bribes amounting to hundreds of millions of rupiah and gratuities worth billions of rupiah related to his position. The indictment was read by the Prosecutors’ Team of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) during a trial at the Corruption Court at the Tanjung Karang District Court on Wednesday (29/4). The bribery was committed by Ardito together with M Anton Wibowo, Secretary of the Central Lampung Regency Revenue Agency, who previously served as Head of the Economic Development Division of the Central Lampung Regency Research and Development Agency, in September 2025. “Receiving a promise in the form of money amounting to Rp500,000,000.00 from Mohamad Lukman Sjamsuri or at least around that amount,” stated the KPK prosecutor in the indictment. The criminal act was carried out at EL’s Coffee Cafe on Soekarno Hatta (Bypass) Sumatera Lintas Road, Sukarame, Bandar Lampung City. The bribe was given so that Ardito, together with Anton, would appoint the company brought and used by Lukman Sjamsuri, namely PT Elkaka Putra Mandiri, as the goods and services provider using the e-Purchasing method based on e-Catalogue at the Central Lampung Regency Health Office. The company operates in the distribution of medical equipment and disposable medical materials (BMHP). The prosecutor explained that the act contradicts Ardito’s obligations as a state official as regulated in Article 5 paragraphs 4 and 6 of Law No. 28 of 1999 on Clean and Free State Administration from Corruption, Collusion and Nepotism (KKN), as well as Article 76 paragraph (1) letters e and g of Law No. 23 of 2014 on Government. For his actions, Ardito is charged with violating Article 12 letter a or Article 12 letter b in conjunction with Article 18 of the Corruption Eradication Law (UU Tipikor) in conjunction with Article 20 letters a or c of Law No. 1 of 2023 on the Criminal Code. Or Article 606 paragraph (2) of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article VII number 49 of Law No. 1 of 2026 on Penalty Adjustment in conjunction with Article 18 of the UU Tipikor in conjunction with Article 20 letters a or c of the Criminal Code. Gratuities The prosecutor also charged Ardito together with Anton, Riki Hendra Saputra as a member of the Central Lampung Regency DPRD for the 2024-2029 period, and Ranu Hari Prasetyo (Ardito’s sibling and trusted aide) with receiving gratuities deemed as bribes amounting to Rp7,350,000,000.00 (Rp7.35 billion). According to the prosecutor, the receipt occurred around February 2025 to November 2025 or at least at other times in 2025, at the Regent’s Official Residence in Nuwu Balak, Gunung Sugih Subdistrict, Central Lampung Regency; at Anton’s house in Srikaton RT 011 RW 005 Terbanggi Agung, Gunung Sugih Subdistrict, Central Lampung Regency; and at Hari’s house on Jalan Dr. Soetomo Number A28, Adi Jaya Village, Gunung Sugih Subdistrict, Central Lampung Regency. Then in front of the Central Lampung Islamic Center, Central Lampung Regency; in Bandar Jaya, Terbanggi Besar Subdistrict, Central Lampung Regency; at Kopi Dari Hati - Bandar Jaya, Terbanggi Besar Subdistrict; at Slamet Nurhadi’s house, Jalan Lingkungan II Baru RT 004 RW 002, Gunung Sugih Raya Village, Gunung Sugih Subdistrict, Central Lampung Regency; and at the Trans-Sumatra Toll Rest Area Km 23, Lampung Province. “As the person who committed the criminal act themselves or participated in committing the criminal act, in concurrence of several criminal acts that must be regarded as standalone criminal acts, receiving gratuities deemed as bribes, namely receiving money in the total amount of Rp7,350,000,000.00,” stated the prosecutor. The prosecutor said that the receipt of the money is related to his position and contrary to Ardito’s obligations or duties as Regent of Central Lampung for the 2025-2030 period. The money was received from individuals named Wilanda Rizki, Sandi Armoko, Akhmad Riyandi alias Andi Chandra, Rusli Yanto, Agustam, Ansori, Ma Muhammad Ersad, and Slamet Nurhadi. “The money received was subsequently used for the needs and interests of the defendant Ardito Wijaya as Regent of Central Lampung,” said the prosecutor. The act violates Article 12 B in conjunction with Article 18 of the UU Tipikor in conjunction with Article 20 letters a or c in conjunction with Article 127 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.
