Central Kalimantan Provincial Government Facilitates Students to Study Abroad
The Central Kalimantan Provincial Government is facilitating students in the region to pursue studies abroad.
“The programme is currently in the stage of mapping interests and preparing the academic and language skills of students who have the potential to continue their education in various countries,” said the Head of the Central Kalimantan Education Office, Reza Prabowo, in Palangka Raya, Thursday.
Based on the mapping conducted, various interests in countries for study destinations have emerged among the students, including the United States, Russia, Germany, France, and Japan.
The office is currently preparing students through training and language proficiency tests, such as TOEFL and IELTS, according to the needs of each destination country.
“Some countries do not require TOEFL, and there are also campuses in Russia that do not require such English language tests,” said Reza Prabowo.
The Education Office has mapped a number of students, starting from graduates of class XII to students in classes X and XI who are projected to have the opportunity to continue their education abroad.
In supporting the programme, the Central Kalimantan Education Office is also continuing to strengthen digitalisation in schools. Currently, schools are supported by digital devices and technology-based learning modules that are continuously being developed in 2026.
“All of these steps are part of an effort to realise the vision of the Governor of Central Kalimantan, Agustiar Sabran, in creating a superior and globally competitive generation. Children in Central Kalimantan should not just be spectators in the midst of global developments,” said the Head of the Central Kalimantan Education Office, Reza Prabowo.
