Central Kalimantan provincial government distributes 500 sacrificial animals to communities
Palangka Raya (ANTARA) - The Central Kalimantan provincial government has distributed approximately 500 sacrificial animals ahead of Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriyah to communities across various regencies and cities in the region.
acting head of the Social Affairs Bureau of the Central Kalimantan provincial secretariat, Akhmad Husain, stated that despite budget efficiency measures, Governor Agustiar Sabran ensures the continued distribution of sacrificial animals to all regencies and cities.
He added, ” Thedistribution targets mosques, prayer rooms, and community organisations, which will then pass on the animals to the public”
To ensure smoothdistribution, the provincial government has formed a special team to guarantee accurate delivery.
” For the handover of sacrificial animals, we have established a team led by Central Kalimantan provincial government officials, specifically department heads,” he said.
Husain explained that each receiving area has been assigned accompanying officials from local government agencies (OPDs) to prepare for situations where the governor cannot attend in person.
” Some areas have two OPD heads assigned, others one. Their role is to accompany the governor if he wishes to hand over the donations directly. If the governor cannot attend, the designated official will represent him,” he added.
The Central Kalimantan provincial government has allocated approximately 500 sacrificial animals, with procurement adjusted to the local budget.
” The total number is around 500, as per the allocated budget for providing cattle,” he said.
Husain added that the sacrificial animals will be distributed to eligible recipients based on proposals submitted to the local government.
“Essentially, this assistance is intended for communities within Central Kalimantan province, particularly those in need. One of the criteria is based on proposals submitted,” he said.
The initiative forms part of the Central Kalimantan provincial government’s efforts to strengthen social welfare and foster community solidarity during Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriyah.
