Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Central Java are being selected to participate in the 41st Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) in 2026. July Emmylia, Head of the Central Java Industry and Trade Office (Disperindag), stated that MSMEs with products having export potential will be included because international buyers will attend the expo.

She noted that Central Java possesses a variety of superior products capable of competing in the global market, prompting the provincial government to continuously strengthen the capacity of business actors. At TEI 2025, Central Java recorded a potential transaction value of USD 18.4 billion, with furniture and fashion as the leading commodities. Her office has been providing export assistance, business matching, and facilitation for Certificates of Origin (SKA) since 2011, having mentored 56 business partners through various programmes funded by the state and non-state budgets.

Ari Satria, Director of Export Development for Services and Creative Products at the Ministry of Trade, assessed that Central Java is one of the regions whose export contribution consistently ranks in the national top 10. He explained that furniture was a standout commodity with a potential transaction value exceeding USD 700 million at the previous event, while the fashion sector contributed around USD 56 million. The Ministry has also curated its exporter database via the INA Export platform, reducing the list from approximately 22,000 registered businesses to around 12,000 that are considered active and worthy of promotion to international buyers.

Nabil Ramadhana, Digital and Business Development Manager at PT Debindomulti Adhiswasti, revealed that occupancy for TEI 2026, scheduled for 14-18 October 2026, has already reached nearly 60 percent. MSME products participating in the expo are still dominated by the food and beverage, fashion, and craft sectors, followed by furniture and home décor.
