Central Java Regional Police Prepare Security for Farmers' Day in Several Areas
Semarang (ANTARA) - The Central Java Regional Police are preparing security measures for various activities commemorating National Farmers’ Day on 24 September 2026, which will be held in several areas across the province.
The Head of Public Relations for the Central Java Regional Police, Kombes Pol Yuliyanto, stated in Semarang on Wednesday that the police have received information regarding several activities scheduled to take place in honour of National Farmers’ Day.
Recorded activities include events in Semarang City, Karanganyar Regency, Cilacap Regency, Salatiga City, and Kendal Regency, ranging from the expression of aspirations and audiences to public discussions and joint prayers.
According to Yuliyanto, providing information regarding this agenda is part of the service to the public, allowing citizens to adjust their activities, particularly around event locations or routes that may experience traffic congestion.
In Semarang City, the series of activities will be centred in front of the Central Java Governor’s Office, with the peak agenda scheduled for Thursday (24/9). Participants are expected to arrive from several areas within the Pati Residency, namely Pati, Jepara, Rembang, Blora, Kudus, and Grobogan, alongside various groups within Semarang City.
Meanwhile, in Cilacap Regency, the expression of aspirations is planned to target the Regent’s Office or the Cilacap Regency Regional House of Representatives (DPRD).
In Salatiga City, a public discussion regarding agrarian reform is scheduled for Thursday (24/9), while in Kendal Regency, there will be an “Aksi Jogo Bumi Hari Tani” (Protect the Earth Farmers’ Day Action) in the form of a joint prayer in Pesaren Village, Sukorejo District.
In Karanganyar Regency, an audience with the local DPRD is scheduled to take place on Friday (25/9).
“Farmers’ Day serves as a momentum for the community to convey aspirations and ideas related to agriculture, agrarian issues, and the environment. The expression of opinions is a right of the people guaranteed by law,” said Yuliyanto.
He added that the Central Java Regional Police, along with regional divisions, are ready to provide services and will continue to communicate with organisers to ensure all activities proceed in an orderly and conducive manner.
The police also reminded participants to comply with the regulations for expressing aspirations and to respect the rights of other members of the public.
Members of the public active around the event locations are advised to remain calm and follow the directions of officers, particularly in the event of traffic management or diversions.
