Central Java Records Positive Tourism Growth in First Quarter of 2026
Central Java has recorded positive growth in its tourism sector during the first quarter of 2026. According to the Central Java Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy Agency, the province saw a total of 17.21 million visitors, including both domestic and international tourists, representing an 18.72% increase compared to the 13.98 million visitors in the same period last year. This growth reflects the sector’s strong performance and the province’s increasing attractiveness as a tourist destination.
