Central Java Records Highest Housing Loan Realisation, Total Reaches IDR 4.96 Trillion
Minister of Housing and Residential Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait announced the figures during a mass contract signing event for 62,710 subsidised mortgage units and Housing Microcredit (KUR) at Puri Delta City Side housing estate in Siwatu Village, Wonotunggal District, Batang Regency. The event was attended by President Prabowo Subianto and his cabinet ministers, along with Central Java Governor Ahmad Luthfi, West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi, and East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa. According to data from the Ministry of Housing and Residential Areas, total housing loan realisation in Central Java as of 29 July 2026 reached IDR 4.96 trillion, involving 28,275 debtors. This figure represents total housing loan distribution by state-owned banks, regional development banks, and private banks. Minister Ara noted that Central Java ranked first among the top five provinces, followed by East Java, West Java, South Sulawesi, and Bali. He explained that among state-owned banks, Bank Tabungan Negara recorded the highest distribution of subsidised mortgages, whilst Bank Rakyat Indonesia led in Housing Microcredit. For private banks, Bank Nobu achieved the highest realisation, and among regional development banks, Bank Jateng was the largest distributor. Central Java Governor Ahmad Luthfi described the achievement as a shared source of pride, emphasising that the housing loan programme benefits low-income communities, particularly those in the first to fourth income deciles, and supports the government’s efforts to facilitate access to decent housing. Bank Jateng’s Director of Funds, Services, and MSMEs, Anna Kusumarita, explained that the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility is intended for low-income earners, including civil servants, entrepreneurs, private sector employees, and informal workers. She stated that Bank Jateng’s housing loans are affordable, with an annual interest rate of 5 percent, a subsidy of IDR 4 million, exemption from Land and Building Acquisition Duty, and repayment terms of 15 to 20 years for prospective debtors earning below IDR 8 million. As of 27 July 2026, Bank Jateng had disbursed the facility to 663 debtors, valued at approximately IDR 104 billion, through both its conventional and sharia units. The programme aligns with the governor’s directive to support the central government’s three million homes initiative.
