Central Java Provincial Government Urges Pekalongan District Government to Maintain Service Quality
Pekalongan — The Central Java Provincial Government has requested that the Pekalongan District Government continue to optimise public services amid the current dynamics facing the region.
“Maintain government stability and ensure that public services continue to function properly despite the current dynamics being faced,” said Central Java Governor Ahmad Luthfi in Pekalongan on Monday.
According to him, the dynamics occurring in Pekalongan District must not disrupt the operations of government, particularly public services.
Additionally, the provincial government has also requested that the district accelerate its response to public complaints.
“Various issues raised by the public must be addressed promptly so that public services are genuinely felt by citizens. The speed of response to public complaints must be improved to prevent public complaints,” he said.
“I entrust this to Mr Kirman as Acting Regent — there must be no differentiation between people, this person or that person. We must treat everyone equally; what matters is that he must be professional and clear,” he stated.
This particularly pertains to policies in the areas of organisation, civil service management, and local budget allocation.
He hopes that the local government will strengthen coordination with the regional leadership coordination forum to maintain conducive conditions and government stability in Pekalongan District.
Previously, Central Java Governor Ahmad Luthfi issued an assignment letter dated 5 March 2026 to Pekalongan Vice Regent Sukirman to carry out the duties and authority of regent following the detention of Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq, who was arrested in an anti-corruption operation conducted by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Tuesday (3 March).
