The Central Java Provincial Government has prepared Hari Raya holiday allowances (THR) for contract workers with work agreements (PPPK) within its working environment. These allowances are planned to be distributed on 13 March 2026.

“We will ensure the THR is distributed seven days before the holiday to companies throughout all regencies and cities, including in Central Java for part-time PPPK workers,” said Central Java Governor Ahmad Luthfi during a cross-sectoral coordination meeting ahead of the holiday exodus and Eid al-Fitr celebrations at Gradhika Bhakti Praja Building in Semarang City on Monday (9 March).

The provision of THR follows Government Regulation No. 9 of 2026 concerning the Provision of Holiday Allowances and Thirteenth Month Salary to State Apparatus, Pensioners, Pension Recipients, and Allowance Recipients in 2026. According to the regulation, THR is provided to state apparatus members, including PPPK workers. Therefore, part-time PPPK workers are included in the components receiving THR.

The number of part-time PPPK workers in Central Java reaches 13,077 people, the largest nationally. For this reason, the Central Java Provincial Government has allocated approximately Rp6.023 billion in budget.

“On 13 March we will distribute this to part-time PPPK workers,” he said.

The calculation of THR provision is based on length of service since the Task Implementation Declaration Letter (SPMT), using the formula of months worked divided by 12, multiplied by monthly earnings. Those whose service period has not reached one month before the holiday, according to regulations, will not receive THR.

“It depends on their appointment date, counted from 1 January of this year. So if someone has worked more than one year they receive the full amount, if they were appointed on 1 January this year it is calculated proportionally. If they have worked less than one month, they do not receive it,” he explained.

Additionally, the Central Java Provincial Government has also prepared consultation posts and complaint services related to THR. These posts are located at the Office of the Provincial Labour and Transmigration Service and six regional work units namely Semarang, Surakarta, Pati, Pekalongan, Banyumas, and Magelang.

The establishment of these posts is one form of the Central Java Provincial Government’s commitment to providing the best service to the community. Therefore, residents who have problems with THR, or companies that have not yet paid THR, can file complaints at these posts. The staff will then follow up and take action in accordance with applicable mechanisms and regulations.

Previously, the Head of the Central Java Labour and Transmigration Service, Ahmad Aziz, stated that the THR posts will operate from 2–31 March 2026. In addition to direct services at the office during working hours, complaints can also be submitted through online channels, namely LaporGub, Siladu (Labour Service Complaint System) of the Indonesian Ministry of Labour, as well as WhatsApp at numbers 081919524945 (complaints) and 082230376218 (consultation).

According to Aziz, the provision of THR is regulated in Government Regulation Number 36 of 2021 concerning Wages, which is implemented through Labour Minister Regulation Number 6 of 2016 concerning Religious Holiday Allowances.

According to the regulations, THR must be paid at the latest seven days before the religious holiday. Workers with 12 months or more of service are entitled to receive one month’s salary. Meanwhile, workers with less than 12 months of service receive the amount proportionally.

Based on mandatory labour reporting data as of February 2026, the number of companies in Central Java reaches 263,832 with a total of approximately 2,497,000 workers entitled to receive THR.

Aziz reminded companies to comply with the regulations. Violations can be subject to administrative sanctions, ranging from verbal and written warnings. The timing of holiday allowance disbursement is being used as an opportunity to present gadget exhibitions for residents who wish to upgrade their devices ahead of Lebaran. Increased consumption is typically driven by holiday allowance disbursals and increased public mobility during the holiday exodus season. This measure is taken as a form of the local government’s commitment and appreciation for employees’ dedication in supporting public services.
