Central Java Provincial Government Proposes 2,706 Civil Service Vacancies, Healthcare Workers Top the List

The Central Java Provincial Government has proposed the recruitment of 2,706 state civil apparatus (ASN) candidates to the Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PAN-RB), with healthcare workers (nakes) making up the largest portion of the requested positions. Plt Head of the Central Java Regional Civil Service Agency (BKD), Dhoni Widianto, stated on Sunday (28/6/2026) that the governor had sent a letter to the PAN-RB Minister on 31 March 2026, detailing a total of 2,076 proposed formations. This figure comprises 1,321 civil servant (CPNS) positions and 755 government employees with work agreements (PPPK). He added that the proposed formations cover various roles, including teachers, technical staff, and healthcare workers. Dhoni noted that the final quota allocated by the central government may differ from the province’s proposal, as the ministry will conduct its own needs analysis. He was unable to confirm when the ministry would announce the quota or whether the recruitment process would commence this year or in 2027, remarking that while the proposal is for 2026, the timeline remains dynamic.
