Central Java Provincial Government Prepares Videotrons for National MTQ Opening Public Viewing

The Central Java Provincial Government is preparing a number of videotron screens to facilitate members of the public who wish to witness the festivities of the opening of the 31st National Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQ) on Saturday (12/9).

Speaking in Semarang on Friday, the Deputy Governor of Central Java, Taj Yasin Maimoen, stated that the locations for these videotron installations will be announced shortly so that the public knows which viewing points are available. Through these screens, residents will be able to participate in public viewing sessions of the opening ceremony outside the main event area.

The Deputy Governor, affectionately known as Gus Yasin, has instructed the committee and Central Java provincial officials to immediately disseminate information regarding the videotron locations. He noted that the public’s desire to witness the event demonstrates significant enthusiasm for the National MTQ, as Quranic reciters and experts from various regions gather in Central Java.

“The public wants to come and see the festivities, and how these Quranic experts gather. The videotrons have been prepared; we just need to upload the information so the public is aware,” he said.

In addition to the videotrons, several stalls are being prepared to enliven the event, as the Provincial Government intends for the National MTQ to be enjoyed by the wider community rather than being limited to participants and invited guests.

He also personally inspected the rehearsal of a colossal dance performance scheduled for the opening night of the 31st National MTQ. The performance involves hundreds of dancers from various art groups, including university students from across Central Java.

Certain aspects are still being finalised, particularly lighting, the use of drones, and performance arrangements to ensure clarity for all spectators. He also offered motivation to the dancers and instructors to maintain their spirit and health.

The colossal performance is expected to not only enliven the opening ceremony but also convey a message of unity.

“I hope everyone remains healthy and can deliver their best performance for Central Java. May this performance voice the spirit of togetherness to build this nation together,” he said.
