Central Java Provincial Government Allocates Rp2.8 Billion for Situkung Landslide Victims
The Central Java Provincial Government has channelled emergency expenditure assistance (BTT) amounting to Rp2.895 billion for 193 residents who were victims of the landslide disaster in Situkung Hamlet, Pandanarum Village, Banjarnegara Regency, from the 2026 Fiscal Year Regional Budget. The aid was symbolically handed over by Banjarnegara Regent Amalia Desiana to community representatives during a visit by Deputy III of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) for Emergency Response, Budi Irawan, along with several related officials, including Acting Head of the Central Java Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Bergas Catursasi Penanggungan and Acting Secretary of Banjarnegara Tursiman, at the temporary housing complex (huntara) in Pandanarum Village, Pandanarum Subdistrict, Banjarnegara, on Friday. On that occasion, Regent Amalia expressed thanks for the attention of Central Java Governor Ahmad Luthfi towards the people of Banjarnegara Regency affected by the disaster and hoped that residents would utilise the aid wisely for beneficial purposes. “Do not use it for extravagance. Use it to build and repair houses,” she said. According to her, each resident receives aid of Rp15 million, which is expected to be utilised to support post-disaster recovery, especially the repair and rebuilding of homes affected by the landslide. Thus, she said, the aid is expected to accelerate the recovery of community conditions and encourage residents to quickly rise from the disaster’s impact. One of the aid recipients, Kirnoto, a resident of RT 02 RW 03, Pandanarum Village, expressed gratitude for the aid he received. “Happy, very happy,” he said. The landslide disaster that struck Situkung Hamlet, Pandanarum Village, Pandanarum Subdistrict, Banjarnegara, on Sunday afternoon (16/11/2025), has caused more than 200 residents’ houses to be damaged and 586 souls or 214 families to be displaced. In addition to damage to houses, 17 people died and 11 others have not been found.
