Central Java Provincial Assistance Revives Economy of Ayamputih Village

The development was evident when Central Java Vice Governor Taj Yasin Maimoen attended a Food Festival in Ayamputih Village. The event served as a moment to directly observe the results of mentoring conducted by several regional apparatus organisations (OPD) of the Central Java Provincial Government. Taj Yasin stated that the Assisted Village Programme does not solely focus on distributing aid, but also ensures the community can develop sustainable economic potential through mentoring and cross-sector collaboration. “This is part of the Central Java Provincial Government’s programme, namely the Assisted Village. OPDs provide mentoring from MSMEs to business groups, both individuals and groups,” he said in a written statement on Tuesday (14/7/2026). He appreciated the synergy of various OPDs that have mentored Ayamputih Village, particularly the Central Java Food Security Agency, which built a partnership between the layer chicken farm BUMDes and PT Jateng Agro Berdikari (JTAB). According to him, this cooperation needs to be strengthened by ensuring that local farmers’ produce can be absorbed by the Nutritional Fulfilment Service Unit (SPPG) programme. “We ensure what the Governor directed, that Central Java’s SPPG must buy eggs from Central Java, must buy chickens from Central Java so that our community can grow together,” he stressed. Head of the Central Java Food Security Agency, Widi Hartanto, explained that mentoring in Ayamputih Village has been ongoing since 2025 as part of accelerating poverty alleviation and strengthening village-based food security. During 2025, total aid channelled to Ayamputih Village reached Rp492.81 million. The aid came from the collaboration of various OPDs, Baznas, and CSR, covering food and energy subsidies for poor families, rehabilitation of 10 uninhabitable houses (RTLH), sanitation construction, business capital assistance, productive plant seedlings, and education on nutritious food consumption. The programme continued in 2026 with a broader scope. Assistance was provided for micro-enterprise development, joint business groups, laying duck cultivation, construction of nine family latrines, and rehabilitation of five RTLH units worth Rp100 million. On the same occasion, a cooperation agreement was signed between BUMDes Ayamputih and PT Jateng Agro Berdikari to support the sustainability of the layer chicken farming business in the village. In addition to aid distribution, the Food Festival presented various public services for the community, such as the Cheap Food Movement, free health checks, population administration services, mobile Samsat, and business licensing or Business Identification Number (NIB) consultations. These various services were combined with a local food MSME market as an effort to expand the community’s economic access. Ayamputih Village Head Saudi said the benefits of the Assisted Village Programme are beginning to be felt by the community. Besides improving housing quality through the RTLH programme, business capital assistance and livestock development have also opened new job opportunities for residents. “The layer chicken coop alone has employed six people. We are also developing the Happy Beach tourism attraction, which opens job opportunities for around 25 residents, especially village youth, through culinary businesses and parking management,” he said. According to him, the various interventions carried out by the Central Java Provincial Government not only help meet the community’s needs but also act as a lever for the birth of new economic activities expected to reduce poverty rates while increasing village self-reliance.
