Central Java Prosecutor's Office Denies Raiding or Examining SPPG Managers

What the district prosecutors’ offices across Central Java have been doing is carrying out the task of collecting data and statements directly at SPPG points.

Semarang (ANTARA) - The Central Java High Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati) has affirmed that it has not conducted any searches, examinations or sting operations against the managers of Nutrition Service Fulfilment Units (SPPG) in the province.

Arfan Triono, Head of the Legal Information Section at the Central Java High Prosecutor’s Office, said in Semarang on Saturday that all district prosecutors’ offices in Central Java were only carrying out the collection of data and statements directly at SPPG locations.

“What the district prosecutors’ offices across Central Java are doing is carrying out the task of collecting data and statements directly at SPPG points,” he said.

“To date, there have been no summonses or examinations of National Police (Polri) personnel or any other parties,” he added.

According to him, the prosecutors’ activities are purely data collection and the gathering of statements in the field, carried out with a professional and persuasive approach in accordance with legal provisions.

He explained that if an SPPG manager is willing to provide data or information, that data will be received and recorded. Conversely, if they are unwilling to provide data, that is also noted as part of the data collection results, without any coercive action.

Previously, a circular allegedly originating from the Head of the Internal Security Sub-Division of the Professional and Security Division (Kasubbid Paminal Bidang Propam) of the Central Java Regional Police circulated regarding suspected examinations by prosecutors of SPPG managers.

The circular stated that many Polri personnel serve as SPPG managers, prompting the issuance of several directives. Among them, Polri personnel were asked not to comply with prosecutors’ summons without lawful escort procedures.

In addition, the circular directed that any examinations be conducted at the local district police headquarters (Mapolres) with accompaniment from the Legal Division (Bidkum), the Professional and Security Division (Propam), and the Regional Supervisory Inspector (Irwasda).
