Central Java Police Uncover BLN Cooperative Ponzi Scheme, Including the 'Simpanan Ibadah' Savings Modus
Director of Special Crimes Investigation (Dir Reskrimsus) of the Central Java Regional Police (Polda Jateng), Kombes Djoko Julianto, said the BLN Cooperative offered several savings products to the public who were not members. There are five types of savings products with different returns.
“The savings products include Simpanan Pintar Bayar (Sipintar), which involves a one-off deposit followed by monthly profits of 4.17%,” Djoko said at the headquarters of the Dit Reskrimsus Polda Jateng, Banyumanik, Semarang, reported detikJateng, on Thursday (21/5/2026).
Djoko noted that the 4.17% return would be earned for 24 months, so in the second year, participants are enticed with profits up to 100%. The minimum deposit for the Sipintar Programme is Rp 1.2 million and the maximum is Rp 2 billion.
“Then Simpanan Ibadah or Si Indah, a worship savings in the Nusantara damai and berkah scheme, with a plan similar to Sipintar,” Djoko said.
Djoko explained two other savings named Si Jangkung and Simapan. The returns from these two programmes reach 2% with varying tenors.
“Simpanan Berjangka Pasti Untung or Si Jangkung is a time deposit with tenures of 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, returning 1-2 percent of the deposited amount, as stated by the cooperative,” he explained.
“Simpanan Masa Depan or Simapan is a time deposit with tenures longer than one year with a 2 percent return,” he continued.
“Lastly, there is Sirutplus with a routine savings scheme up to 10 times. The return from this programme is a bonus equal to twice the monthly set amount, paid out in the 12th month.”
“Simpanan Rutin Plus or Sirutplus is a monthly routine saving for 10 months, after which the savings are withdrawn in month 12 together with a bonus equivalent to two months’ deposits according to the monthly contributions. The minimum deposit is Rp 1 million,” Djoko explained.
During seven years of operation, the fraudulent cooperative recorded 160,000 transactions. Djoko revealed there has been money circulation of up to Rp 4.6 trillion.
“In these illegal activities, there have been 160,000 transactions from 2018 to 2025.”
