Central Java Police Uncover Alleged Corruption at Perumda BPR Bank Purworejo

The Directorate of Special Criminal Investigations (Ditreskrimsus) of the Central Java Provincial Police has uncovered alleged corruption in the loan application and realisation processes at Perumda BPR Bank Purworejo, with losses reaching Rp 41 billion. The modus operandi used in this corruption practice is the misuse of credit facilities under the term “kredit topengan,” where loan applications use the identities of other people, but all the disbursed funds are enjoyed by parties other than the legitimate debtors.
