Central Java Police Send 10 Trucks of Humanitarian Aid to NTT Earthquake Victims

The Central Java Regional Police have sent humanitarian aid in the form of food and basic necessities to communities affected by the earthquake in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). A total of ten trucks of humanitarian aid were dispatched.

Central Java Police Chief Inspector General Ribut Hari Wibowo said the humanitarian aid was a gesture of concern from the Central Java Police family towards the people of NTT who are facing a difficult period due to the natural disaster. He detailed that the aid sent includes mineral water, powdered milk, ready-to-eat meals, instant noodles, rice, cooking oil, biscuits, sugar, nappies, blankets, tarpaulins, new children’s and teenagers’ clothing, underwear, sarongs, and bread.

In addition, there are 11,000 blankets and 15,000 new garments. There is also 1.2 tonnes of dried meat floss.

“We are also sending 1.2 tonnes of dried meat floss in 250-gram packaging, so it can be consumed directly,” said Inspector General Ribut in Semarang, as reported by Antara on Monday (17/8/2026).

The various foodstuffs and basic necessities were tailored to the needs of the disaster-affected communities. Information regarding the needs of communities at the disaster site was obtained through the Deputy Chief of the NTT Regional Police.

In addition to logistical aid, the Central Java Police also sent three doctors and five personnel to assist with trauma recovery. He expressed hope that the presence of personnel could help the recovery of communities experiencing psychological pressure after facing the disaster.

“Hopefully the delivery of aid can proceed smoothly and on time,” he added.
