Central Java Police Destroy Hundreds of Thousands of Bottles of Illegal Alcohol from Operation Pekat Candi 2026

The Central Java Regional Police have destroyed 227,489 bottles of illegal alcohol seized during Operation Pekat II Candi 2026. The destruction of evidence, which also included narcotics, was carried out at the Central Java Police Headquarters in Semarang on Wednesday (22/7/2026).

During the operation, which ran from 25 June to 14 July 2026, the Central Java Police’s Narcotics Directorate and its ranks uncovered 198 drug cases with 245 suspects and 2,122 cases of illegal alcohol circulation with 2,123 suspects. Evidence seized included 4.69 kilogrammes of methamphetamine, 60 ecstasy pills, 1.08 kilogrammes of synthetic liquid, 1.59 kilogrammes of cannabis, 241.59 grammes of synthetic tobacco, 769 psychotropic pills, 120,688 illicit pills, and 227,489 bottles of illegal alcohol.

The Central Java Police stressed that Operation Pekat II Candi 2026 is part of efforts to suppress the circulation of narcotics and illegal alcohol in order to maintain public security and order.
