The Central Java Regional Police (Polda Jateng) have stationed an ambulance helicopter in the Kalikangkung toll gate area in Semarang City, Central Java, to provide emergency response capabilities during the Lebaran 2026 homecoming and return journey period in the region.

The ambulance helicopter is supported by the Air Operations Directorate of the Indonesian National Police (Polri). The helicopter will be positioned at Kalikangkung helipad from 13 to 25 March 2026.

“The deployment of the air ambulance helicopter at the Kalikangkung toll gate area is part of Central Java Police’s readiness in supporting emergency response during Operation Ketupat Candi 2026. With air ambulance support, if urgent medical conditions occur, they can be handled more quickly and effectively,” said Head of Public Relations at Polda Jateng Senior Commissioner Artanto on Sunday (15 March 2026).

According to Artanto, the helicopter ambulance support is part of Polda Jateng’s efforts to strengthen the rapid response system in handling traffic accidents and medical emergencies requiring swift evacuation. This is particularly important on toll roads that experience high vehicle volumes during the homecoming period.

“We want to ensure that people travelling home during the Lebaran period in Central Java receive optimal protection and services. Therefore, various preparations, including air ambulance support, have been arranged to anticipate emergency situations during both the outbound and return journeys,” said Artanto.

As Spokesperson for Operation Ketupat Candi 2026, Artanto also urged homebound travellers to prioritise safety during their journey and comply with traffic regulations. Additionally, travellers are encouraged to utilise service posts and security posts of Operation Ketupat Candi if they require assistance from officers.
