Central Java Police: Autopsy Results for Family Found Dead During Camping Expected Within a Week
Police are still awaiting the results of forensic laboratory tests regarding a family found dead in a camping tent at Kledung tourist area in Temanggung Regency. The results are expected within a week or longer.
Central Java Police Public Relations Chief, Senior Commissioner Artanto, stated that the investigation is ongoing and authorities have not yet determined the exact cause of death.
“We are still waiting for the autopsy results and crime scene examination by the Central Java Police Forensic Unit,” Artanto said in a text message on Friday, 29 May 2026.
He added that the results may take about a week or more as forensic teams are examining body organ samples and conducting forensic toxicology.
“When will the results be out? It could be within a week or longer,” Artanto said.
“Because examining body samples and forensic toxicology requires time and must be done carefully,” he continued.
Previously, four family members were found dead in a camping tent at Posong, Kledung, Temanggung, on Wednesday, 27 May. They were Muhammad Ali Munawar (52), Maghfirah (43), and their two children, Alvino Evan Hakim (16) and Bagas Amar Hakiki (21).
Police initially suspected poisoning from barbecue equipment brought by the family, with food samples sent to the Central Java Police Forensic Laboratory for further testing.
