Central Java Police Affirm Members Managing Nutrition Service Units Ready for Prosecutor Questioning with Legal Assistance
Semarang, VIVA – Central Java Regional Police (Polda Jateng) have stated that National Police personnel managing the Nutritional Service Units (Satuan Pelayanan Pemenuhan Gizi, SPPG) remain cooperative towards summons for questioning by the prosecution service, as long as they receive lawful accompaniment from the Legal Affairs Division (Bidkum) and the Professional and Supervision Division (Propam).
This was conveyed by the Head of Public Relations at Central Java Regional Police, Chief Commissioner Artanto, in response to a circular issued by the Propam Division of Central Java Regional Police concerning summonses for questioning of SPPG managers by the prosecution service.
“Essentially, they remain cooperative if there is a summons for questioning, provided there is a lawful accompaniment procedure from the Legal Affairs Division and Propam,” he said.
Artanto confirmed the existence of the Propam circular, which was intended as a reminder to all personnel to remain orderly in administration and procedure.
“That circular is a reminder for all National Police personnel in Central Java to always maintain administrative discipline,” he said.
Previously, a circular had circulated from the Head of the Paminal Sub-Division of the Propam Division of the Regional Police concerning questioning by the prosecution service of SPPG managers.
The circular was reportedly issued in view of the large number of National Police personnel serving as SPPG managers and food servers.
The circular contained ten items of instruction, including a prohibition on National Police personnel attending prosecution service summonses without a lawful accompaniment procedure.
In addition, questioning was requested to take place at the local police headquarters, accompanied by the Legal Affairs Division, Propam, and the Regional Supervisory Inspector. (Ant)
