Central Java is Strategic, AHY Calls for Seizing Victory

Chairman of the Democrat Party, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), called on his cadres in Central Java (Jateng) to seize victory in all political contests, especially in the 2029 elections. AHY delivered this message in a speech at the IV Regional Deliberation (Musda) of the Democrat Party’s Central Java Province branch, held at the Tentrem Hotel in Semarang City on Friday (17/4/2026) evening.

AHY stated that he had set the main theme for the IV Musda of the Democrat Party as “Democrat Consolidation: Close Ranks, Build Strength, and Seize Victory”. He reminded that Central Java is a strategic province.

“Central Java is a large province that holds very significant value politically, economically, and socially. 35 regencies and cities, tens of millions of constituents that we must fight for, both to improve community welfare family by family, and to enhance overall economic growth,” explained AHY, who gave his speech virtually.

According to him, hard work is needed to achieve all that. “Therefore, close our ranks,” said AHY.

He also asked Democrat cadres in Central Java to build strength. “Central Java is special; we know from the start what Central Java’s politics is like. We also know its dynamics today. Do not be afraid, do not feel there is no room for the Democrat Party,” he said.
