Central Java High Prosecutor's Office Records Rp36.8 Billion in State Financial Recovery

The Central Java High Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati) has recorded the recovery of state finances amounting to Rp36.8 billion from corruption and money laundering (TPPU) cases during the period of January to August 2026.

“Across Central Java, there are 70 ongoing investigations into alleged corruption, 14 of which are being handled by the High Prosecutor’s Office,” stated the Head of the Central Java High Prosecutor’s Office, Teguh Subroto, in Semarang on Wednesday.

According to Ade Hermawan, Assistant for Special Crimes at the Central Java High Prosecutor’s Office, the breakdown of the recovered state losses includes Rp3.7 billion at the investigation stage and Rp8.4 billion at the prosecution stage.

He noted that many of the corruption cases handled involve the banking sector, State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), Regional State-Owned Enterprises (BUMD), procurement of goods and services, and village funds.

In the field of civil and state administrative law, state financial recovery from January to August 2026 was recorded at Rp22 billion.

Furthermore, the state financial recovery conducted by the Central Java High Prosecutor’s Office amounted to Rp9 billion, while the recovery at the district prosecutor levels across the province reached Rp164 billion.

Additionally, the Central Java High Prosecutor’s Office assisted in the rehabilitation of a dormitory for the visually impaired owned by the Sahabat Mata Foundation.

Teguh reminded all ranks of the prosecution service in Central Java to maintain unity and restore public trust in the institution, particularly within the Central Java region.
