Mahanni Yulindha Pratiwi was officially sworn in as Deputy Regent of Klaten for the remainder of the 2025–2030 term. The inauguration was conducted by Central Java Governor Ahmad Luthfi at the Gardhika Bhakti Praja Building in Semarang on Monday (12 October).

The ceremony was attended by Klaten Regent Hamenang Wajar Ismoyo, members of the Klaten Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) and officials from the Klaten Regency Government.

Yulindha was elected Deputy Regent of Klaten at a plenary meeting of the Klaten Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) on 26 August 2026. She succeeds Benny Indra Arhiantro, the deputy regent for the 2025–2030 term, who was also her husband and died in February.

After the inauguration, Ahmad Luthfi urged Yulindha to adapt quickly and carry out her duties as deputy regional head. He highlighted several priorities, including efforts to reduce poverty, control inflation and coordinate with various local government departments.

“After being inaugurated, the Deputy Regent will take on some very crucial responsibilities. One is to work towards reducing poverty,” he said.

“Second is the MBG Task Force. Therefore, collaborative government between the Deputy Regent and the Regent must be the top priority, alongside the other agencies, in managing our region,” Luthfi added.

Meanwhile, Klaten Regent Hamenang Wajar Ismoyo said he hoped Yulindha’s appointment would strengthen the performance of the Klaten Regency Government for the remainder of its term. He also hoped that the priority programmes planned with Benny Indra Arhiantro for the 2025–2030 administration would continue.

“Please pray for the best for the Klaten Regency Government, for me and Mbak Linda, so that the programmes we planned together with the late Mas Benny can all be carried forward by Mbak Linda,” he said.

“So that our beloved Klaten Regency can become a prosperous and developed regency. Congratulations, Mbak Linda, and keep your spirits up. Let’s build Klaten together,” he said.

Yulindha said she was ready to continue her late husband’s duties as Deputy Regent of Klaten and support Hamenang in running the local government.

“God willing, from tomorrow I will be able to continue my late husband’s duties as Deputy Regent of Klaten. Please pray that I am given the strength and ease to carry out this great responsibility, and that I can help make Klaten more developed, prosperous and sustainable. Thank you,” she said.
