In a working assembly with ASN ranks at the Central Java Governor’s Office courtyard in Semarang on Wednesday, he expressed thanks to all ASN who he assessed had worked sincerely for the public. He requested that the spirit of service be maintained after the collective Eid leave ended. According to him, ASN must be sensitive and responsive to public needs, and make service tasks a form of devotion, not just bureaucratic routine. “When we carry out duties and obligations, whatever part we perform, there must certainly be collaboration one with another,” he said. The Eid momentum is not only an occasion for mutual forgiveness but also to strengthen solidarity among institutions in the Central Java Provincial Government environment, and all government elements must work in unison. He stressed that public services cannot be run individually but must be supported by collaboration from all stakeholders, including district/city governments. That spirit of togetherness, he continued, is important to maintain, given that public services in Central Java cover a wide area, both in terms of territory and population. Therefore, he said, every regional apparatus is required to support each other in carrying out tasks. In the assembly, Luthfi also touched on handling Eid homecoming and return traffic flows in Central Java, noting that the province has again become one of the largest transit centres for travellers in Indonesia. “Homecoming is a tradition, especially Central Java being the largest central throughout Indonesia,” he said. The smoothness of homecoming and return flows is inseparable from cross-sector collaboration, from road readiness, free transportation, to security and public services during the Eid holiday period. He appreciated all ranks who he assessed were able to keep services running and minimise public complaints. “There is not a single ‘public complaint’ related to our roads,” he said. In addition, he also ensured control of essential commodities during Eid ran safely, and the availability of public needs, including fuel, remained stable thanks to the joint efforts of all parties.
