The Governor of Central Java, Ahmad Luthfi, officially opened the Jateng Fair 2026 at the Central Java Provincial Development Promotion and Recreation Centre (PRPP) in Semarang on Friday night (26/6). The event, which runs from 26 June to 5 July 2026, is held under the theme “Action for Transformation.”

Also present at the opening ceremony were the Mayor of Tegal, Dedy Yon Supriyono, along with various regional heads from across Central Java.

Luthfi stated that the Jateng Fair serves as a showcase for Central Java Province, featuring regional-owned enterprises (BUMD), government agencies, and entrepreneurs presenting sustainable innovations. “It is hoped that connectivity between the government, entrepreneurs, and the community will emerge,” Luthfi said in an official statement.

Luthfi added that this serves as a significant momentum as Central Java is aggressively pursuing investment. “In the first quarter of 2026, we secured Rp23 trillion with an employment absorption of nearly 92,000 people. This means that despite geopolitical challenges and fiscal constraints, Central Java remains an attractive destination for investment. Through the Jateng Fair, we hope MSMEs will flourish with innovative products, driving economic growth alongside national events,” Luthfi concluded.

Following the opening ceremony, the Mayor of Tegal, accompanied by the Head of the Tegal City Regional Development, Research, and Innovation Agency (Bapperida), M. Ismail Fahmi, visited the Tegal City Government stand, which showcased innovative products and MSMEs from Tegal.

During the visit, Dedy Yon also presented an award and trophy to Fajar Daya Winasis Azwar, a resident of Tegal, who won the Krenova award in the general “Social Impact” category from the Central Java Provincial Government. His innovation, “Allia Chromia Ultra Feed,” utilises garlic flour and water hyacinth enriched with organic chromium minerals as a livestock feed supplement.
