Central Java Government Launches 'Logis', Free Online Psychological Consultation Service

The service represents a proactive measure to ensure mental health problems, especially among children and students, are not handled too late. Through this initiative, residents of Central Java no longer need to fear or feel ashamed about seeking consultations regarding mental health. The service can be accessed via the JNN Ext 2 application. Operating every Monday to Thursday from 11:00 to 13:00 WIB and on Fridays from 10:00 to 12:00 WIB, the service is supported by professional psychologists from eight hospitals owned by the Central Java Provincial Government. “This is a form of free online psychological consultation service that can be accessed by the entire community,” said Central Java Governor Ahmad Luthfi in a statement on Friday (3/7/2026). He made this statement during the launch of Logis at the Central Java Provincial Health Office in Semarang. In addition to involving psychologists, the service also engages the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Education Office to reach children and students experiencing psychological issues, such as stress and bullying. Luthfi stated that the service is provided online and handled by professionals. He noted that the programme is part of the government’s effort to proactively address mental health issues in society. According to him, many psychological problems have only received attention after becoming public cases. “But with this free psychology service, it is hoped that those who report issues can also be protected regarding their problems,” Luthfi said. In his directives, Luthfi also requested that the service be socialised to schools, including through zero bullying prevention campaigns. Based on data from the Central Java Provincial Health Office, up to the first quarter of 2026, 2.13 million adults had participated in mental health screening through the Free Health Check Programme. Meanwhile, approximately 14,600 people with mental disorders are undergoing treatment at community health centres. Head of the Central Java Provincial Health Office, Zulfachmi Wahab, explained that the Free Online Psychologist Service is a flagship programme of the Central Java Provincial Government in the health sector, following the mobile specialist doctor programme. The programme was created to address the obstacles of distance, time, and societal stigma towards mental health services. He explained that out of the many cases related to mental health, only a few seek treatment. Therefore, this service is expected to become an initial gateway for early detection through online consultation. If indications of a disorder leading to a medical condition are found, officers can follow up with a home visit. “The presence of this service is to answer the obstacles of distance, time, and shame or stigma. The service is conducted privately like a psychological consultation. If it is medically indicated, we conduct a home visit,” he said. On the same occasion, Luthfi also handed over one ambulance unit to the All-Indonesia Fishermen’s Association of Kendal Regency. According to him, ambulances are an important facility for communities in coastal areas. “We are providing an ambulance to the fishermen. This is a form of rapid health service delivery to the community, especially fishermen,” Luthfi stated. Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Kendal Regency HNSI, Triyono, said the ambulance would be used to assist fishermen experiencing emergency conditions, whether sick or deceased. “With this ambulance, we hope to reduce the burden on fishermen. If someone is sick or passes away, at least they can be helped,” Triyono revealed. Triyono said that until now, fishermen in Kendal did not have their own ambulance, so every emergency required waiting for coordination with the hospital. “If an incident occurs, we have to communicate first with the hospital in Kendal Regency. That also requires waiting time, and that has been our obstacle all this time,” he concluded.
