Central Java Government Has 68,807 Social Protection Agents
Semarang (ANTARA) – The Central Java Provincial Government says it now has 68,807 Social Protection (Perlinsos) agents, who help residents access the digital Perlinsos service to register for social assistance.
Central Java Social Affairs Agency head Imam Maskur said in Semarang on Tuesday that the agents come from a range of backgrounds, including family welfare group cadres, village officials, police officers, military personnel, regional government employees, urban village heads and members of the public.
He said the agency was encouraging the public to contribute to the independent updating of Perlinsos participant data. Through the portal perlinsos.kemensos.go.id, residents can independently check the eligibility data of prospective social assistance recipients for 2027.
According to Maskur, activating Perlinsos data is intended to screen applicants’ eligibility for assistance, including the Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT) programme and the Family Hope Programme (PKH).
As of Monday (12 October), 662,529 households had been registered through the Perlinsos portal, out of 13,350,232 households in Central Java in total.
To access Perlinsos data, residents need two things: a smartphone and an electronic identity card linked to the Digital Population Identity (IKD) application. With both, they can check eligibility data and register as prospective recipients of social assistance in 2027.
The data include national identity numbers (NIK), family cards (KK), vehicle ownership records held by the National Police Traffic Corps, customer records from state electricity company PLN, and data on civil servants, the Indonesian National Armed Forces and the National Police.
“The process is intended to ensure social assistance reaches the right people. It is also in line with Governor Ahmad Luthfi’s direction,” he said.
He stressed that residents would not be charged anything to register or check their data.
“The aim of this digitalisation is to ensure that, by 2027, no one who should receive social assistance is left behind or unable to access it,” he said.
However, he added, low-income families without smartphones can register through a Perlinsos agent.
“Anyone can become a Perlinsos agent. They can register their neighbours, relatives or other people, including those living in another regency or province. This shows our concern for social protection,” he said.
Those wishing to volunteer as Perlinsos agents can register at agent-perlinsos.kemensos.go.id.
