Central Java Craft Council Provides Official Souvenirs for 2026 National MTQ
Semarang, Central Java (ANTARA) - The Central Java National Craft Council (Dekranasda) is providing various official souvenirs for the XXXI National Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQ) 2026 in Semarang, Central Java.
The Head of the Central Java Dekranasda Store, Agung Budi, stated in Semarang on Thursday that these products are fully available at the Dekranasda Store (D’Store).
D’Store is located at the Central Java Department of Industry and Trade (Disperindag) office on Jalan Pahlawan Number 4, Semarang, near the Simpang Lima Square.
According to him, designating D’Store as the official souvenir provider serves as an opportunity for Central Java’s small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to expand their market and introduce the richness of local products to people from various provinces.
These official merchandise items are not merely souvenirs; they are local products capable of driving the regional economy, ranging from the Saqur (Sahabat Qur’an) mascot dolls, T-shirts, and hats to keyrings.
“This is a momentum to introduce Central Java’s SME products to the delegations and guests from all over Indonesia,” he said.
He expressed hope that the participants would not only compete but also take advantage of the National MTQ momentum to hunt for official souvenirs at the Dekranasda Store.
“The hope is that they do not just come to participate in the MTQ, but also bring home products created by Central Java’s SMEs,” he added.
Regarding prices, he mentioned that available souvenirs are priced starting from Rp8,000 for keyrings, Rp85,000 for mascot dolls, and Rp150,000 for painted umbrellas, among many other product options.
“What is taken home is not just a souvenir, but also the work and creativity of Central Java’s SMEs. This also serves as a form of support for the sustainability of their businesses,” he said.
During the implementation of the XXXI National MTQ, the Central Java Dekranasda Store will be open from 12–19 September 2026, between 09:00 and 22:00 WIB.
He invited participants, guests, and the public attending the XXXI National MTQ to visit D’Store and see the diverse range of products created by Central Java’s SMEs firsthand.
“Please come and see the products of Central Java’s SMEs. Hopefully, through this MTQ, more works from Central Java’s SMEs will be known nationally,” he said.
The XXXI National MTQ will take place from 11–20 September 2026, with competitions held across 12 arenas throughout Semarang.
A total of 2,242 participants have been confirmed for the XXXI National MTQ, consisting of 1,751 core participants and 491 reserves.
They will compete in eight branches and 24 competition groups across 48 categories, with the committee having prepared 5,257 questions.
