The event was attended by five governors, including the Governor of Central Java, Ahmad Luthfi; the Governor of West Java, Dedi Mujuadi; the Governor of North Maluku, Sherly Tjoanda Laos; the Governor of Lampung, Rahmat Mirzani Djausal; and the Governor of Bangka Belitung, Hidayat Arsani. Also present were the Junior Attorney General for Intelligence, Reda Manthovani, the Director General of Regional Development at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Safrizal, as well as regents, mayors from across Central Java, and various community leaders.

The Head of the Special Development Control and Investigation Agency (Bappidsus), Aris Marsudiyanto, stated that Satlinmas plays a vital role in maintaining community environments in every region, ranging from maintaining public order and disaster responsiveness to ensuring food security, environmental preservation, and overseeing government programmes.

Consequently, he also advised all Satlinmas members not to be easily provoked, as there is currently a high volume of news with unclear sources, hate speech, and content intended to incite division.

To address this, he launched the ‘Good Thumb National Movement’ (Gerakan Nasional Jempol Baik) during the event, which encourages the responsible use of social media by promoting the principle of ‘filtering before sharing’.

“Let us foster, guide, and habituate our entire community, our children, our siblings, and our families to use their thumbs wisely. Filter every piece of news before it is shared,” he stated in a written release on Wednesday (30/09/2026).

During the grand assembly, awards were also presented to the Community Protection Association (Aslinmas) with the highest membership. Central Java Province ranked first in Indonesia for Aslinmas membership, with a total of 75,738 members.

In Central Java, the highest Aslinmas memberships were held by Semarang Regency with 32,854 members, followed by Brebes Regency with over 24,000 members, Wonosobo Regency with 5,087 members, Boyolali Regency with 2,703 members, and Batang Regency with 2,458 members.

Luthfi stated that the ‘Hansip Reborn’ spirit represents the revival of community mutual cooperation (gotong royong) to protect their environment, but through a more professional, coordinated approach that meets contemporary challenges.

On one hand, he noted that the government, at both provincial and regency/city levels, must also be present for Satlinmas members.

“Their primary task is indeed to maintain public order and security, but it now extends much further than that. We want the strength of the more than 243,000 Satlinmas members in Central Java, who have been working amongst the people, to become even more solid, prepared, and faster to respond when the community is in need,” he said.
