Deputy Governor of Central Java Taj Yasin Maimoen said the event, held on 20–22 August 2026 in the grounds of the Governor’s Office and Central Java DPRD, was not merely measured by the number of visitors or transaction value, but was driven by the aim of upgrading the class and market reach of MSME products.

Taj Yasin expressed hope that the event would enhance the potential of each MSME to market its products to a wider market.

“One jamu MSME entrepreneur told us that they will sign an MoU with Malaysia,” said Taj Yasin in a written statement on Saturday (22/8/2026).

Taj Yasin considered this achievement as proof that the exhibition can serve as a means for business actors to scale up their businesses.

MSMEs that previously only reached district/city markets can now develop to the national and even international level.

“This means we are taking our small-scale MSME players to become medium-sized, and medium-sized to become large. Those that were initially only around their districts/cities are now leaping not just to the provincial level, but abroad,” said Taj Yasin.

Taj Yasin expressed hope that next year’s event would be even more attractive, not only in drawing visitors but also in encouraging the public to purchase MSME products.

“After all, this is part of improving the welfare of MSMEs, improving the welfare of the people of Central Java, and part of poverty alleviation,” said Taj Yasin.

According to Taj Yasin, strengthening MSMEs is considered very important because the sector has proven capable of supporting the economy in facing various crises, including the monetary crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic.

As part of the series of activities, the Central Java Provincial Government also established cooperation with the Halal Product Assurance Agency (BPJPH).

The cooperation is expected to increase public trust in MSME products while helping to boost sales turnover.

Acting Head of the Central Java Cooperatives and SMEs Office Desy Arijani said the exhibition was designed with a zoning concept, including the Kranasda Expo zone, culinary and jamu zone, programme zone, thematic zone for MSMEs fostered by Bank Jateng, and mobile service vehicle zone.

The exhibition featured 221 stands. In detail, 35 stands in the Kranasda Expo zone, 50 stands in the commercial and jamu zone, 110 stands in the programme zone, 20 stands in the thematic zone for MSMEs fostered by Bank Jateng, and six mobile service vehicles from technical regional apparatus organisations.

During the three days of the event, various supporting activities were also held to attract public interest. These included a fish cooking competition for vocational school students, a job fair involving dozens of companies seeking workers, a mural competition for senior high school level, a drawing competition for primary school level, a best stand competition, music entertainment, and evening screenings of classic films.

Desy expressed hope that the event could become a strategic momentum to drive regional economic growth, particularly in the MSME sector.

“We hope this exhibition can become a strategic momentum in supporting regional economic growth, particularly the MSME sector, as well as strengthening collaboration between agencies, business actors, and the people of Central Java,” said Desy.

At the closing ceremony, the committee also announced the competition winners as a form of appreciation for participants who had displayed creativity, courage, and innovation during the exhibition.
