Central Java and Yogyakarta NU Branches Back Lirboyo Muktamar, Reject AHWA Restrictions

The Regional Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PWNU) and Branch Boards (PCNU) across Central Java and the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) have declared their full support for the 35th Nahdlatul Ulama Congress to be held at the Lirboyo Islamic Boarding School in Kediri. This joint stance was agreed upon during a strategic meeting (mujalasah) held at the Raudlatu Thullab Islamic Boarding School in Tempuran, Magelang, on Wednesday. The event was attended by 35 PCNU members from the Central Java and Yogyakarta regions. Also present were the highest leadership of NU, namely PBNU Chairman KH Yahya Cholil Staquf and Vice Chairman Lora K. H. Amin Said Husni, along with the Syuriyah and Tanfidziyah boards of PWNU Central Java led by KH Ubaidullah Shodaqoh, and the Syuriyah and Tanfidziyah boards of PWNU Yogyakarta led by Rais Syuriyah KH Mas’ud Masduqi.
