The Central Jakarta Metro Police had a different way of celebrating the 80th Bhayangkara Day. Through the ‘Night Run’ activity, the police invited the public to compete in a spirit of sportsmanship. The Night Run event was held in front of the Central Jakarta Metro Police headquarters on Friday evening, 26 June 2026. The lively activity was attended by 80 participants selected from eight sub-districts in Central Jakarta. The participants were the result of a previous selection process held to enliven the series of Bhayangkara Day commemorations. The activity was enthusiastically welcomed by the participants. Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Senior Commissioner Reynold EP Hutagalung, said that this Night Run activity is a form of closeness between the National Police and the community through positive and healthy activities. “This Night Run is not just a sporting activity, but also a momentum to strengthen camaraderie, build a spirit of togetherness, and present a National Police that is close to the community,” said Reynold in his statement on Saturday (27/6/2026). The activity is also part of the Central Jakarta Metro Police’s efforts to encourage the public to maintain a healthy lifestyle while strengthening synergy in maintaining regional security and order. “Through the momentum of the 80th Bhayangkara Anniversary, we want to invite all elements of society to continue working together to keep Central Jakarta safe, orderly, and conducive,” he said.
