Central Jakarta Immigration Launches Inclusive Information Service 'Si Mayor Smile'
The Class I Non-TPI Central Jakarta Immigration Office has launched Si Mayor Smile (an Inclusive, Friendly, Accessible, and Amicable Information Service System) to facilitate digital access to immigration information for the public.
The Head of the Class I Non-TPI Central Jakarta Immigration Office, M. Iqbal Ma’ruf, stated that this innovation was developed to ensure that information services can be accessed equally, including by vulnerable groups and persons with realising disabilities.
“We want to ensure that immigration information can be accessed by anyone more easily and comfortably,” Iqbal said in Central Jakarta on Thursday.
Iqbal explained that Si Mayor Smile was developed through the Central Jakarta Immigration Office website, featuring several accessibility tools that allow users to customise the display and access information according to their specific needs.
The service also provides information regarding priority services, disability profile education, and foreign language options to assist foreign nationals in obtaining immigration information.
He noted that the innovation was initially developed to meet the information access needs of vulnerable groups and persons with disabilities. As it evolved, the service was expanded so that it could be utilised by the entire community, including foreign nationals.
Iqbal added that the launch of Si Mayor Smile is part of an effort to develop digital-based public services while maintaining ease of access, equality, and community needs.
“This innovation is not just about digitalisation, but about how technology can provide services that are more inclusive, friendly, and leave no one behind,” he said.
