Central Jakarta Government Urges Developers to Certify Public Facility Land Assets
The Central Jakarta City Administration (Pemkot Jakpus) has urged developers to immediately certify land for social facilities and public facilities (fasos fasum) that have been handed over to the Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov DKI).
Masyati, Head of the Asset Monitoring Subdivision at the Central Jakarta Asset Management Agency, said that certification is part of the developer’s obligations after transferring land assets to the government.
“We want to ensure that the developer’s obligations do not stop at physical and administrative handover, but are also followed up with asset certification,” Masyati said in an official statement in Jakarta on Monday.
She explained that one of the fasos fasum assets under monitoring had been physically and administratively handed over to the Jakarta Provincial Government through official handover records (BAST) in 2018 and 2019.
The transferred land parcels measure approximately 1,900 square metres and 190 square metres respectively.
“Security measures, including the installation of asset signage and fencing, have already been carried out. The certification obligation must now be followed up immediately,” Masyati said.
She expressed hope that the certification could be completed no later than one year after the asset handover, in accordance with the provisions set out in the BAST.
To that end, the Central Jakarta administration has conducted another field inspection while urging the developer to coordinate promptly with the Jakarta Provincial Regional Asset Management Agency (BPAD) to follow up on the certification process through the land office.
Masyati stressed that this measure is not directed at a single developer alone, but is part of the Central Jakarta administration’s efforts to ensure that all assets resulting from developer obligations are administratively orderly and have legal certainty.
“This is a commitment to ensure that every regional asset handed over by developers is recorded, protected, and has administrative and legal certainty,” Masyati said.
