Central Jakarta District Court Reads Verdict on Hotel Sultan Dispute, Execution Process Begins

The Central Jakarta District Court (PN Jakarta Pusat) has initiated the execution of the Hotel Sultan land dispute today. The execution ruling was read out by court clerk Azhar.

In the ruling, the clerk read out the decree of the Chief Judge of the Central Jakarta District Court No. 1/PDT.EKS/2026/PN.Jkt.Pst. in conjunction with No. 208/Pdt.G/2025/PN.Jkt.Pst. In the document, the Central Jakarta District Court opined that the execution applicants’ request for a vacating execution had met the requirements, did not contravene the law, and could be granted.

Azhar stated this was done with regard to the provisions of Article 195 HIR in conjunction with Article 1033 Rv, as well as other related legal provisions.

“Adjudging: One, to grant the applicants’ request above. Two, to order the Clerk of the Central Jakarta District Court, or if they are unable, to appoint a competent bailiff accompanied by two witnesses and, if necessary, with the assistance of the Indonesian National Police or other state instruments of power,” said Azhar.

Azhar ordered that Hotel Sultan be vacated. He ordered that the land be returned to the plaintiff, namely the State Secretariat.

“To carry out the vacating execution and return to the Counterclaim Plaintiffs the land parcels of former HGB 26/Gelora and former HGB 27/Gelora along with the buildings and everything attached thereon. Three, to determine the costs arising from this decree according to law,” he added.
