Central Jakarta’s Sub-Department of Food Security, Maritime Affairs and Agriculture (Sudin KPKP) provided training in fish processing to more than 110 residents as a business opportunity.

The training was attended by 110 participants spread over two days. The participants represented eight subdistricts in Central Jakarta, said Siti Halimah, head of Sudin KPKP Central Jakarta, in Jakarta on Tuesday.

Siti explained that the training aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of good and hygienic fish processing techniques in line with food security standards.

The training was held over two days on 19-20 May 2026 at RPTRA Kejora, Jalan Pembangunan II, Petojo Utara Urban Village, Gambir Subdistrict, Central Jakarta.

Siti added that participants came from Jakpreneur-binaan, cadres of the Family Welfare Empowerment Movement (TP PKK), and the general public.

She hoped the training could provide participants with skills and could be used as one of the business opportunities.

Meanwhile, Pony Kaprira, head of Section II TP-PKK Central Jakarta, said the training is one of the strategic efforts to improve knowledge and skills of communities, especially PKK cadres, business actors, and the public.

Pony hopes this activity provides great and sustainable benefits, and the knowledge gained can be applied and developed in the participants’ own environments.

“Through this activity, it is hoped that participants will not only be able to process fish products well but also develop businesses, improve family economies and contribute to food security,” she said.
